Since 2000 I have been helping people manage their money and fund their dreams.
I have found during those years a lot of people have had many financial professionals. Most of them have to share their story with a new professional every couple of years. I am proud to say I have had clients for 21 years and that is one of the benefits of being an Independent Financial Professional.
When I graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Elementary Education, I never thought I would be a financial professional. Now, I can't imagine doing anything else.
I started off my teaching career in the Baltimore City School District. Then after having my oldest son, decided to move to Homer City, Pennsylvania because that is where their mom was from. I started selling insurance but then realized I wanted to do more for clients since I have a background in education. Financial planning was a natural fit and I started my my investment business in 2000. Since then I have been educating clients on the products that fit their needs so they can make informed decisions about different products. I want my clients to understand plans on a deep level so they can make the best choice for them with my assistance.
My oldest son is now 22 and attends The University of Minnesota majoring in Urban and Regional Planning. I also have a 20 year old son who will be attending Beacon College in the Fall majoring in Anthrozoology.
I am currently the president of the board of the Homer-Center Parks and Recreation Department, as well as the former president of Family Promise of Indiana, PA which is an non-profit that helps homeless families. The issue of poverty has always been close to my heart and I have found that helping families secure a better living is very rewarding for me. Educating individuals how to reach their goals has always been at the heart of my business.
